Alderley Edge Bypass
It is happening !! with opening of the bypass before June 2011. The remaining railway bridge work is planned during closure of the railway over Christmas 2009. Open letter from Cheshire County Highways here. Route map here.

Drop–in Information Surgeries will take place every Wednesday from 9am to 10.30am at the site offices of Birse Civils. The site offices are located at the top of Nursery Lane in Nether Alderley and can be accessed via the one way system.
Free Smoke Alarms
Arrange a home safety assessment; during the visit advice will be given on how to make the home safer, also smoke alarm will also be fitted free if your house is without one. Book here.
Highway Faults
Report highways faults on line here.
This not just for roads , all areas covered by the highways department can be reported in this way, including street lights, cracked paving, damaged traffic signs/bollards, blocked drains, bridges etc
